In January 2017, three-year-old Mister Jinx found himself locked up at Missoula Animal Control at the perfect moment – it was just then that a federal police officer was looking for the perfect explosives detection dog. Flying through all of his selection tests Jinx became certified as a bomb dog the same year. While all that bomb searching is a great way to burn off energy, Jinx quickly decided that getting pets from people is pretty awesome too! Jinx is following in the footsteps of his retired, bomb dog brother, Nolan, and enjoys visiting nursing homes, getting lots of pets, and relaxing with patients. Brother Nolan always leads the way – first as a great bomb dog, then as a great therapy dog. Both are proud Pet Ambassadors for our hospice program.
